Agricultura Tropical journal (e-ISSN: 2517-9292 | RNPS: 2397) is a digital scientific-technical publication, edited since 2015 by the prestigious Instituto de Investigaciones de Viandas Tropicales (INIVIT). Our fundamental mission is to disseminate scientific advances and the results of original and unpublished research in the field of tropical agriculture, with special emphasis on root, rhizome, and tuber crops, bananas, plantains, fruit trees, vegetables, and grains—all pillars of food security. We serve as a high-level academic communication channel for scientists, educators, students, technicians, producers, and sector decision-makers, offering content in both Spanish and English to maximize its global impact. We address topics ranging from genetic improvement and biotechnology to sustainable crop management, local innovation, and postharvest practices, through documentary types such as original articles, short communications, bibliographic reviews, and thesis abstracts. With a continuous publication system (Rolling Pass) that ensures the immediacy of knowledge dissemination, each approved document becomes available as soon as the peer review and formatting processes are completed, establishing itself as a benchmark for innovation and sustainable agricultural development in the tropics. Authors who publish in this journal accept the terms of the CC Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), under which all its contents will be disseminated.
